Domaene Wachau, based in Austria's most renowned wine-growing region, the Wachau, is one of the country's leading white wine producers. Steep terraced vineyards, a cool marginal climate and barren primary rock soils characterize the wines of the Wachau.

A mild and dry winter was followed by a wet April, which provided the soils with sufficient moisture, which benefited the vines during the hot summer days. In September, the weather took a turn for the worse with repeated rainfall, especially at the beginning of the harvest period. Fortunately, the sun returned in October, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly but optimally. The result is elegant and precise wines with vital acidity, clarity and substance on the palate.

The vineyards are cultivated sustainably and increasingly organically, without the use of insecticides and herbicides. The Riesling grapes are carefully selected and pressed in pneumatic tank presses before undergoing controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
