Domaene Wachau Riesling Federspiel Loibenberg 2021 12,5% Vol. 0,75l

Domaene Wachau, located in Austria's most renowned wine-growing region, the Wachau, is one of the country's leading white wine producers. Steep terraced vineyards, a cool marginal climate and barren primary rock soils characterize the wines of the Wachau.

The terrace vineyards of the Loibenberg reach up to 420 meters. Warm Pannonian air masses and Gfoehler gneiss characterize the terroir of this site. Federspiel refers to dry, medium-bodied and particularly elegant wines of the Wachau.

The 2021 vintage was characterized by a cool spring as well as a mixed summer, which led to a delayed ripening of the grapes. The excellent autumn weather favored the ripening and thus provided a great vintage of Riesling. The fully ripe grapes are sustainably and increasingly organically processed and harvested by hand. Only absolutely healthy grapes are processed for the Riesling Federspiel Loibenberg. After selection and pressing, controlled fermentation takes place with aging in stainless steel tanks.
