The production area of CARM olive oils is located in the heart of the Upper Douro, one of the regions in Portugal that is particularly suitable for high-quality olive cultivation due to the nature of the slate soils and the special climatic conditions. This region is characterized by the extreme temperature differences between summer and winter and the low exposure of the olive groves, which favors a dry climate.
The olive groves are located at an altitude of 150 to 450 meters above sea level, which also contributes to the quality of the cultivation. Only the best olive varieties Cobrancosa, Madural and Negrinha Verdial are carefully selected for the CARM Classic olive oil.
