Finca Valpiedra is owned by the prestigious Bujanda family of winemakers and is one of the most famous wineries in the Rioja region. The 80 hectares of vineyards are located on the river meander of the Ebro. The soil contains typical river stones, which give the wine its excellent depth. The winery produces only two wines: Rioja Reserva and Cantos de Valpiedra Crianza.
This wine is made from the grapes of the Tempranillo variety. The harvest takes place in the fourth week of semptember and was bottled in January 2021. Fermentation of the fully ripe Tempranillo grapes took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This is followed by aging for 12 months in American as well as French oak barrels.
