With over 400 years of history, Bushmills is the oldest licensed distillery in the world. The license to distil whiskey on the north coast of Northern Ireland was granted to Sir Thomas Philips by King James I back in 1608.

Despite changing generations and rapid advances in technology and innovation, the Old Bushmills Distillery remains a constant in the world of whiskey. Whiskey has been produced in Bushmills, a small town with a population of around 1,300 today, since the 17th century. Legal production officially began in 1784, when Hugh Anderson founded the Old Bushmills Distillery. The distillery is located on the banks of the River Bush, named after the former mills in the area.

The Bushmills 10-year-old single malt is characteristic of the brand: it is restrained, delicate, balanced and easily accessible, ideal for whisky novices and connoisseurs alike. The whiskey is triple distilled in the Irish tradition, which gives it a special softness. It is matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, which gives it fruity notes.
