The Burning Barn Ltd. distillery, based in England, came to rum production through a terrible disaster. As the name of their articles already tells, their barn burned down. The fire taught the people there to never give up and so they started the production of various rums.
The finest molasses-rich column rums and pot still rums are blended from the Diamond Distillery, which is located just outside Guyana's capital Georgetown. The rums then mature in the Caribbean heat for two to three years in American oak barrels, which were first filled with bourbon whisky.
The fire also inspired the Burning Barn Ltd. team for their flavors. The Burning Barn Smoked Rum is smoked with wood from the apple trees their father planted over 30 years ago. Smoked is their old stainless steel apple juice tank with a custom oak lid.
