The distillation, maturation and bottling of the unpeated single malt Bruichladdich Organic 2011 took place on the Scottish island of Islay. The maturing of the malt takes place in old bourbon barrels. The barley used for the production of the whiskey is 100% organic and has also been certified as organic by the UK Biodynamic Association. This noble drop was produced without cold filtration as well as addition of caramel colorants.
The Bruichladdich distillery is the only one in the world that bottles its whiskeys independently on the island of Islay.
