With a population of only 3,000 on Islay, it is somewhat surprising that there are around 140 committees on this island.
Among these committees is of course the largest, the Ardbeg Committee, with 120,000 members worldwide.
The Ardbeg Committee was founded in 1999. Limited release bottlings are produced exclusively for members of the committee.
This Committee release is already the 5th bottling in the Supernova series, providing another peaty eruption.
A maturation in ex-bourbon casks and a bottling without dyes and chill filtration focus on the organoleptic perception and the question of what a whiskey can be.
