The distillery is located on the south coast of the Islay whisky region.
Weisshaus in Tirol has had access to rare rarities from the Ardbeg Distillery since 2017. Mr. Osler selected two special casks on site from Ardbeg's private stocks.

Like the mystical mythical creatures of Greek mythology, each Ardbeg in this Anthology series brings together two creatures that forge a link between past and present, tradition and innovation. 'The Harpy' is a creature from ancient mythology that is both half man and half bird. He is elusive in nature and incomparably complex in style.
The single malt matured for 13 years in two different types of cask before being masterfully married together. First, this exquisite Ardbeg matures in very rare Sauternes sweet wine casks and then in ex-bourbon casks.
