The 50-hectare Alois Lageder winery is located in Margreid, South Tyrol, and is characterized by a close connection with nature and a strong awareness of sustainability, which is reflected both in life on the winery and in the quality of the wines. In addition, an engagement with contemporary art is an integral part of the winery's philosophy. Synthetic chemical pesticides, insecticides and mineral fertilizers are consistently avoided; instead, Alois Lageder relies on preparations, homeopathic teas and compost as natural fertilizers.

The estate's estate classics showcase the diversity of South Tyrolean viticulture by highlighting the varied selection of grape varieties. Both white and red wines are vinified mainly from grapes from trusted winegrowers, selected for their specific varietal suitability in the estate's vineyards. The long-standing collaboration with these winegrowers makes it possible to achieve and share all quality objectives.

Alois Lageder Pinot Noir, selected from vineyards in Pochi and Eppan, presents itself as a fresh and elegant red wine. After vinification in large steel tanks, the wine matures for around 15 months in cement, which gives it its natural refinement and rich, fruity aromas. The grapes for this wine are harvested at the end of August to the beginning of September from sandy, loamy and sometimes very chalky soils, and fermentation takes place by maceration in steel.
