In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Goelles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. His entry into the distillation of fine brandies began in 1979, followed by the founding of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which regularly receive recognition.

ALFRED Semi-Dry Vermouth was born out of the long-standing friendship between Alois Goelles and Manfred Tement, who had known each other since their school days in Klosterneuburg from 1974 to 1979. Four decades later, they decided to create a vermouth together. Manfred Tement's base wines, known for their classic elegance, fine structure and fruity nuances, form the basis of this exceptional vermouth, lending it liveliness and an elegant note. The depth and structure of this vermouth result from the high-quality extracts, macerates and brandies from Alois Goelles.

The wormwood herb, known for its intense astringent effect, is at the heart of the character-giving substances. It is complemented by a carefully selected blend of botanicals such as cardamom, thyme, fennel, coriander, rose petals and orange peel, which refine and enhance the vermouth.
