At the Adam-Lieleg winery, the red wines are mainly vinified from the Zweigelt grape variety. The grapes thrive in warm locations on light to medium-heavy soil. The ripening period and type of storage varies from wine to wine.
The fully ripe grapes of Zweigelt are carefully harvested by hand with a high calcareous conglomerate in southern Styria. Aging takes place for at least 24 months in small oak barrels, which gives the red wine its elegance and charm.
