The distillery has passed through many hands since its founding in 1826 and is now owned by Chivas Brothers.
The Aberlour 14 Years Old DOUBLE CASK MATURED Speyside Single Malt matures for 14 years in two types of casks - namely, ordinary American bourbon casks, as well as Spanish sherry casks. Only shortly before bottling, the contents of the two different types of barrels are combined.
