S.B.S stands for Single Barrel Selection, which means that in this 1423 product line, only one barrel is filled for each product. Each barrel is selected according to strict criteria and offered in a limited number of bottles. The entire S.B.S range comprises only classic rums, no blends, in order to emphasize the versatility of rums as well as their unique quality and exquisite taste.

S.B.S Guyana 1990 is an outstanding single cask bottling, limited to just 192 bottles, representing exclusive rum artistry. Distilled in the historic Double Wooden Pot Still of Port Mourant, the oldest wooden pot still in the world, this rum embodies a rare combination of tradition and quality. At the time of its distillation, the pot still was located on the site of the Uitvlugt distillery, which is noted on the label as the place of origin. After the closure of the Uitvlugt distillery in 2000, the pot still was transferred to the Diamond distillery in Guyana.
