Tschermonegg Steirerbua Steiermark 2024 12% Vol. 0,75l

The Tschermonegg winery is a family business that has been producing wine on the South Styrian Wine Route for more than 120 years. The family owns 30 hectares of vineyards, which vary in location. These include Oberglanzberg, Lubenkogel and Poessnitzberg.

The 2023 wine year began with a very dry spring, which was characterized by alternating cool and warm phases before the vines began to bud towards the end of April. Rainfall during and after the flowering period led to massive fungal infestation. The months of July and August were mixed, with increased rainfall at the end of August. The main harvest lasted from the end of September to the beginning of October. Despite the challenges, the grapes showed a good aroma and the vintage was somewhat lighter in alcohol content, resulting in a particularly drinkable wine.

The Tschermonegg Steirerbua is made from the select grape varieties Mueller Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling and Gelber Muskateller. The vines used for this wine are between 10 and 40 years old, which underlines their quality and maturity. After careful ageing, the wine is bottled and sealed with a screw cap. The Tschermonegg Steirerbua can be stored for up to 2 years, allowing its aromas to develop and deepen.
