The base consists of traditional Seychelles rum distilled in pot stills from sugarcane, sourced from four different barrels, including two port wine barrels. This component is complemented by pot still and column still rum made from molasses, which was aged for three years in ex-Bourbon barrels. For added depth, an eight-year-old molasses rum from Foursquare in Barbados is also included. It is precisely this combination of local Seychelles production, Caribbean rum tradition, and different cask types that makes the Pti Lakaz a particularly distinctive release within the Takamaka range.

\r

\r

At 45.1% ABV, the Takamaka Pti Lakaz Batch 2 showcases its diverse components in a concentrated yet balanced way. Dried apricot meets star anise, cocoa beans, and dry spices, while the port wine and bourbon cask components contribute additional fruit, structure, and cask-derived spice. The rum is bottled without colorants, without added sugar, and without chill filtration, thereby preserving the natural character of the distillates used as authentically as possible. The 0.7-liter bottle is therefore particularly well-suited for lovers of unsweetened rum, tropical barrel aging, and complex blends of pot still and column still distillates who appreciate both fruity and dry, spicy notes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/948ae91fa41cc0cd87ecd7a48876239ff2cdf2b3ad9aa3ae4f236d1ccfd0d749.jpg?v=1791816202
