For this 100 Proof Edition #84, cask finishing plays a crucial role: The Mortlach was finished in a first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry butt, which lends the whisky’s robust distillery character an intense fruity and sweet-spicy dimension. The large sherry cask enhances the interplay of dark fruits, caramel, and spicy notes. The whisky is classified as a non-smoky Speyside single malt and combines Mortlach’s structured character with the distinct influence of Pedro Ximenez sherry.

\r

The Mortlach 2016/2026 Signatory 100 Proof Edition #84 is bottled at 57.1% alcohol by volume, which corresponds exactly to the traditional British strength of 100 proof. No cold filtration or coloring is used, ensuring that the color and cask character remain as authentic as possible. Signatory Vintage has made a name for itself as an independent bottler, particularly through its transparent disclosure of age, year of distillation, cask selection, and bottling details. In this edition, 10 years of maturation, a first-fill PX sherry finish, and 57.1% alcohol content come together with the distinctive Mortlach style. As a result, this 0.7-liter bottling is particularly aimed at enthusiasts of robust sherry cask single malts who prefer a high alcohol content and an intense balance of fruit and spice.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/0935c1b7f0b78cfb5a58fc47a270805edc7bdec8dfb85683f47295532847a23e.jpg?v=1790851516
https://mydrinx.shop/products/signatory-vintage-100-proof-edition-mortlach-10-years-old-single-malt-84-2016-57-1-vol-0-7l
