The fruit comes from the sunny regions of western Styria and is harvested only when it has reached its optimal balance of sweetness and acidity. To ensure this, the glossy red sour cherries are picked individually by hand over several weeks, so that only fully ripe and particularly aromatic fruit is used. The 2010 harvest was then transformed into a characterful fruit brandy by the Tyrolean Rochelt Distillery. The uncompromising selection of fruit and the distinctive vintage character exemplify the time-honored philosophy of the Rochelt Distillery.

\r

Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally long aging period of 15 years, during which the fruit, spice, and the stone fruit aromas typical of sour cherries blend into a concentrated whole. With a robust 50% ABV, the Rochelt Weichsel 2010 is dry, racy, and full-bodied, with the natural sour cherry fruit accompanied by subtle cinnamon-like nuances and a hint of bitter almond. It is precisely the combination of Styrian sour cherries, the 2010 harvest, and 15 years of aging that makes this bottling a particularly distinctive example of Austrian premium brandies. The 0.7-liter bottle in a wooden box underscores its exclusive presentation and makes the Rochelt Weichsel a special gift idea for lovers of aged fruit distillates.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/d52a00cacabaa3e44ee91aee7008e8e5b8f85ffdb802ce2880e8d17bb20f8d53.jpg?v=1792420431
