For more than 600 years, the Antinori family has been involved in wine production, starting with Giovanni di Piero Antinori's admission to the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. The Pian delle Vigne winery was founded in 1995 and has been owned by the Antinori family since the beginning. The Pian delle Vigne Brunello from Marchesi Antinori is made exclusively from the Sangiovese grape variety. The wine benefits from a soil profile consisting of clay and limestone, which has a positive influence on the quality of the grapes. Maturation takes place over two years in oak barriques, followed by a further phase in large wooden barrels, which gives the wine depth and a fine structure. The bottle is sealed with a natural cork to preserve tradition and maintain quality over time.
