The distillate comes from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay and was aged for a total of 13 years. A particularly defining feature of this single-cask release is that it was aged entirely in a fresh bourbon barrel, designated as cask #2341. After more than a decade of cask aging, the whisky was bottled at a robust 56.9% ABV, straight from the cask. No chill filtration or added coloring was used, ensuring that the whisky’s color and character remain as authentic as possible.

\r

The Bruichladdich 2012/2026 from Svenska Eldvatten thus combines several characteristics that are particularly sought after by connoisseurs of independent Islay bottlings: single cask, cask strength, 13 years of aging, a fresh bourbon barrel, and natural color. Within Islay, Bruichladdich is known for a comparatively fresh, maritime, and fruit-forward distillery character, which is complemented in this bottling by the bourbon cask maturation. The distinctive Cat Label marks Svenska Eldvatten’s anniversary series and lends the bottle additional collector’s appeal. A second 13-year-old Bruichladdich release, Cask #2342, was released at the same time, while #2341 showcases its own cask characteristics at 56.9%.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/a087911cc124017e4d22ff07685dfcf4d030875b396ce69a437616a63f7055fa.jpg?v=1790865260
https://mydrinx.shop/products/eldvatten-svenska-bruichladdich-13-years-old-single-malt-cat-label-cask-2341-2012-56-9-vol-0-7l
