The annual Cask Strength Edition is bottled undiluted at cask strength and combines Bunnahabhain’s signature unpeated Islay single malt with intense fruit, sherry notes, and maritime elegance. For the 2026 Edition, the cask selection consists of 50% first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and 50% bourbon casks. Stylistically, this edition follows in the footsteps of the 2023 release, though it presents itself as slightly sweeter, lighter, and rounder. The Oloroso casks primarily contribute dried fruits, soft spices, and chocolate, while the bourbon casks add vanilla, honey, and toasted coconut.

\r

After at least 12 years of aging, the Bunnahabhain Cask Strength 2026 is bottled at a robust 55.8% ABV. The bourbon cask component softens the drier character of the Oloroso casks and contributes to a creamier, rounder mouthfeel, while maturation on the northeast coast of Islay weaves subtle notes of salt, sea air, and the coast into the overall profile. The spice notes appear more integrated compared to the 2023 edition, allowing the interplay between the two cask types to stand out more clearly. The whiskey is non-chill-filtered, retains its natural color without added coloring, and is produced in small batches. The 0.7-liter bottle with a gift box makes this annually changing Bunnahabhain 12 Years Old Cask Strength Edition 2026 an intriguing release for both collectors and enthusiasts of authentic Islay single malts.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/9c388c2bc37b3e55ecc38ee9eb215e2fb949dc65cf1a2f28a00754868736b3ad.jpg?v=1791902257
https://mydrinx.shop/products/bunnahabhain-12-years-old-islay-single-malt-cask-strength-edition-2026-55-8-vol-0-7l-in-giftbox
