Braida Bricco d'Uccellone d'Asti DOCG 2019 16% Vol. 0,75l

Guiseppe Bologna was a simple man who, on the side, managed a vineyard for himself and his friends, producing small quantities of wine with great dedication. The tasty drop quickly became popular in the village. His son Giacomo must have inherited his father's love of the Barbera grape.

In just three generations, the Bologna family managed to bring Barbera d'Asti to the big wide world. For a long time, this grape variety was not expected to achieve such greatness - but Giacomo recognized the modern taste and its round, ripe tannins early on.

Braida Bricco d'Uccellone Barbera d'Asti takes its name from an old woman who always dressed in black and was therefore called "l'uselun" (= the big bird).

This Braida is produced by maceration on skins at controlled temperature for 20 days.

It is then aged for 15 months in 225-liter oak barrels. Then it is left to rest in the bottle for another 12 months for refinement.
