As a "Südsteiermark DAC" regional wine, it highlights both its geographical origin and the characteristic lightness of this traditional grape variety. The grapes are sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards—predominantly featuring the region’s signature *Opok* (marl/calcareous clay) soils—where the vines have an average age of approximately 32 years. Following a natural, spontaneous fermentation, the wine matures for six to twelve months on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks. This deliberately purist approach to winemaking underscores the wine’s direct, clean style while preserving its distinct sense of place. The 0.75-liter bottle is sealed with a convenient screw cap.

With an alcohol content of just 11%, the 2025 Tement Welschriesling Opok is a light yet precisely structured Styrian white wine that is exceptionally easy and inviting to drink. The Tement estate aptly describes it as a "Welsch-master" (*Woeschmeister*)—a top-tier, light, and refreshing wine. Its combination of succulent structure, vibrant freshness, and the influence of Southern Styria’s *Opok* soils makes it a versatile choice for relaxed, informal occasions or as a pairing for classic Styrian cuisine. The wine is at its best within the first three years; the 2025 vintage, in particular, shines brightest when enjoyed young, allowing its lively character to truly stand out.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/896f39664fccc553509cafa1d39f8c5add4adb688d73050044bb2975cd31f88b.jpg?v=1793331702
