The name Navy Island refers to the small island off Port Antonio, which was used by the British fleet in the 18th century, thus evoking Jamaica’s maritime history. For this XO Reserve Jamaica Rum, selected pot-still rums from Jamaica—distilled from molasses—are blended together. After its initial aging, the cuvee undergoes a finish of at least six months in former Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, which complements the intense Jamaican rum character with notes of raisins, dark fruits, vanilla, and caramel-like cask notes.

\r

The 2026 Edition is bottled at an impressive 63.5% ABV at cask strength, making it specifically aimed at connoisseurs of concentrated, unadulterated rum styles. No chill filtration or coloring is used, ensuring that the dense structure and powerful aromatics are fully preserved. Dark chocolate and concentrated raisins meet syrupy PX notes, dry spice, and robust oak, before a long-lasting finish adds further depth. Visually, too, the 0.7-liter bottle with its cylindrical shape reflects its tropical maritime origins: palm trees, sailing ships, and stills characterize the design. The Navy Island PX Cask Finish Cask Strength 2026 is thus a distinctive limited edition for lovers of Jamaican rum with a sherry cask finish and high cask strength.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0865/2193/8218/files/14a616aae7eccbb6d3edf8f436872b73905a855dc3abd8d9cb0a8c57cc4d344c.jpg?v=1792060560
https://mydrinx.shop/es/products/navy-island-jamaica-xo-reserve-rum-pedro-ximenez-sherry-cask-finish-strength-2026-63-5-vol-0-7l-in-giftbox
